Yeah, we call that rough cut construction lumber which gets hidden from sight behind sheetrock.

It's amazing how warped this can be.

I've seen some that were totally unusable except for fire wood.

Yeah, I had those sometimes.

When I was stationed up in Chicago, Illinois I used to always try to find pecan wood for the fireplace.  Pecan has a very pleasing smell to it while burning.

We don't have those here in NL, but you can buy chips for smoking meat etc.

Yes, I've used those chips in my smoker many times.  Really gives the meat some great flavor.

If you smoke or BBQ often it is well worth giving it a try.

I've put pecan chips on coals also.  I have one grill that is gas and one that is coals only.  My smoker uses pellets.

If you dampen the pecan chips before you put them on the coals it helps them smoke better.

Yeah, that can be a good thing.
I made 2 nice flights. You have seen the first outcome already. More to come soon
Also did some video editing and recorded the backing track.
Funny enough, I decided not to put that behind this one, but just use the field recording.
The backing track will come in handy with the details video of the demolition.

Still debate about the date of the chopper flight.
So I'm waiting for that to finish the video. (one image is included there too)

Yes, the pre-drone days of getting aerial images were quite a process.

Yes it was very expensive.
I just wish I was allowed to fly a bit higher to match the old images. (from the '70s)

That would be nice but I'm not even sure if you can get a one time waiver for that.

It's even tempting to just do what some are doing, but....Nope.
