The app looks impressive from review videos and I'm just wondering about the map screen and how it handles no data connection?

I find myself flying reguarly in areas without any data connection or service at all. What mapping service does the app use?

Will it be possible to pre-load and store map tiles for use when out of service area?

i fly in the african bush, 99% i have no connect to WWW
for my is verry intersting to fly with offline maps
i great idea is to fly with, by exemple, offline maps from google.

i also fly a lot in Mongolia where data connection is some times not possible will the maps still work?

You can cache the maps while connected to wifi for use later in the field.

Ed, I can't remember whether you said this feature is only for the Apple map app on iOS, or whether Google maps can also be used. I would assume for Android devices that would mean Google maps, but I'm not sure about iOS devices.

I think that it was previously posted that Android is Google maps and iOS is Apple maps.
