Hi, I have a problem with the Battery case when loading the batteries, when i put them in they will load and stop at 80% and show green, if i put the battery in the ActionCam it will load up to 100% ! is this a faulty Loadingcase or do i have to do somthing to it ? Also the case shows 3 green and after maybe 30 sec. the middle green light is gone and then the left and right only shows, when i open the lide back up all 3 are on again.

Doesn’t sound right 3 green lights should be 100% unless left for a few days they may reduce slightly. The case lighting is also strange, I would advise to return for another one.

Is it the first Battery charger case? If so, then it’s not designed for Action 5 batteries. There is a second version which works for Action 3,4 and 5. The original is for the 3 and 4.

Search for ‘Osmo Action Multifuntional Battery Case 2’ and check it’s the one that you have.

Just checked the bottom of the case and its the  Multifuntional Battery Case.

Look in the DJI shop. There are two… the multifunctional and multifunctional 2.

I’m only saying because Ihave the original and also only get to 80% as well on the new batteries. I’ve ordered a 2 because that one is for Action 3,4 and 5 batteries whereas the old one is 3 and 4 only.

They may well have sent the wrong one. They have sold out of 2’s and I’m waiting for it to be in stock.

Hello !  This is interesting...I recently bought a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Adventure Combo. My charge loadingcase is " Osmo Action Multifunctional Battery Case" , model  AC2CH.  I quess that this one is first gen. model ? What I have found sofar is, if I take batteries out of the battery case when lights a showing bright green - I dont' get full 100% charge. Instead if I wait until the green lights have turned off and install a battery to the camera the camera will show 100% status. This is the case with all the three batteries. They show fully charged in camera by this method.  Best regards Walt2008

Mine also came with the OA5 adventure combo and states model number AC2CH on the bottom and has the 'white' DJI logo on the top which a review indicated distinguishes the new case - the older one is black embossed it suggested.  I assume charging is the same as the previous case = Red LED 0 to 20%, Yellow 20 to 80%, Green 80 to 100% and then LED off when reach 100%.   So if taking out when turning green, it would only be at 80% and need to wait until light out as has been found above.

Manual for the old one here:  https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_Osmo_%20Action_%203/AC/0916/DJI_Osmo_Action_3_Multifunctional_Battery_Case_Product_Information_v1.0.pdf

Whether the old case works with the new batteries though I don't know, or even a mix of batteries.  I remember my old AA battery charger didn't like a mix of batteries and would only charge to the max of the lowest mAh so I also wonder if mixing in the case may have a similar effect?

Perhaps the old case does work with the new batteries but takes longer to get to the top? With mine, I noticed that the green light stayed on for a long time so I gave up hope. Maybe leaving it overnight will charge it to 100% where the new version has a bit more kick?

I have no idea what is happening with the middle green light on the case. That sounds like a fault.

DJI list 3 and 4 with the old one and 3,4, 5 with the new.

When mine arrives I’ll let people know. They’re still out of stock of the new one but mine is apparently being sent at the end of next week ……

So i guess that i have the version 2 sind the DJi Logo is white on top, im loading the the battery up again and waiting to see if the green light goes out after its full to 100%.....think its kinda stupid to make it like this with the lights.

Great. It works. That will save you having to get the second version. I wonder why DJI released another version of it then? I presumed that it might have a bit more ‘ooomph' to charge the bigger batteries. I did notice that the first charger has the green lights on for a long time so I assumed that it wouldn’t push the batteries to 100%

DJI, can you tell us how the second version is different?

Like someone sade above with the charger, the old one is with the Dji in black and the new one is white, so i have the new one i guess. When you get your new Version you will tell us how yours is.

Should I leave the batteries in the charging case for storage if not in use?

It doesn’t do anything if you do leave them in the case. Just keeps them neat and tidy for you and tells you which one is charged when you open the lid.

So its confirmed that the original Multifunctional Battery Case 1 can charge the new 1950mAh Plus batteries? Does it take a lot longer than the new battery case 2?
Also does anyone know how long the Plus batteries last in OA4?
I know the Plus batteries were designed for the OA5 but as they added support to the OA4, just wondering how it fares and if it gets similar battery life to in the OA5.
