Hey, what is the max speed of the Air3s without a tail wind?

Fastest I’ve seen online is about 51 mph.

How do you register your drone or is it already registered.

You’ve got to go to the FAA Dronezone

Honestly there is nothing majorly different about the AIR 3 and the AIR 3S apart from the 1 CMOS and the better obstacle avoidance its just still the same drone

The top speed in sport mode is significantly faster, and forward facing lidar is also a significant upgrade, especially in lowlight.

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out. Can I please ask are you referring to adjusting the gimbal's turning speed? If so, in the latest version of the DJI Fly app, you can modify the EXP values. These values represent the control sensitivity of the drone. A higher EXP value means the drone will respond more sensitively to your inputs, even with slight stick movements. You can adjust these settings in the app under "Control - Gain & Expo Tuning."

If you are a newbie, we do not recommend modifying EXP on your own. Please use the default value. If the value has been modified, you can go to [Advanced Settings] - [Reset Gain & Expo Tuning].

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us. Thanks again.

The "night flight ability" is really exciting. It could could also be useful for professional using drones during short daylight periods such as during winter. Every sensors making "(very) low light flights" safe are a prerequisite. It is not really clearly established if those types of flight are allowed, if it is, where and what are the rules. I guess that it will be ruled according the needs. I believe that future belongs to light weight drones except for specific purpose (agriculture,...)

Hi, there
The DJI Air 3S currently is not compatible with goggles 3. However, we’ ve found that this feature is expected to be included in an upcoming firmware release. Please stay tuned for firmware updates and update it instantly.
Thank you for your support.

I got my Air 3S last week and love it!
However, I have an issue with the gimbal tilt control working counter-intuitive for me and sadly there is no option to invert it. I found a 7 year old thread of people asking for the ability to invert it though. It should not be a big issue to fix and I really would appreciate it. It is probably counter-intuitive for anyone with an aviation background.

Hello rauberdaniel,

We're thrilled to hear that you've received the DJI Air 3S and that you're enjoying it. Regarding the issue you mentioned with the gimbal tilt control, could you please share more details with us? This will help us better understand the problem and assist you more effectively. In the meantime, you might find it helpful to refer to the DJI Air 3S User Manual for more information: https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... _Manual_v1.0_de.pdf

Thank you once again for your continued support of DJI.

Hey Stephen, thanks for your response. It's about the gimbal tilt control (e.g. on the RC2 controller) which you control with the left index finger. The (not changeable) default setting is to tilt down if you pull (turning the control counter-clockwise) and tilt up if you push (turning the control clockwise). However, this is counter-intuitive to anyone with an aviation or fixed-wing background, as pushing is generally correlated to a downward movement (nose down) and pulling to an upward movement (nose up). It would be really great, if this gimbal tilt control direction could be inverted (configurable via the settings) to reflect that.

Hello rauberdaniel,

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate your insights regarding the gimbal tilt control. We will certainly pass your suggestion on to our engineering and technical team for consideration. In the meantime, please also kindly keep an eye on the DJI website for any future firmware updates.

Thank you for your valuable input and support. Wishing you a wonderful weekend and a joyful Christmas!

Hi there. We recommend you follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check whether your battery level changes suddenly (the battery level change can be checked in the DJI Fly app). For example, the battery level changes from 80% to 30% suddenly. If there is such a change, we recommend that you sent your product to local agent for testing.

2. Check whether a foreign object (such as a propeller guard) has been mounted onto the aircraft. If so, the takeoff weight will increase, which will increase power consumption. It is normal for the maximum flight time to be shortened. In general , after the propeller guards are mounted in the same environment, the battery life will be reduced by 1/3.

3. If the maximum flight time is shorter than the one noted on the DJI official website by 1/3 when the battery has a lower cycle count and the aircraft is not flying forcedly in an environment with appropriate temperature and wind, please send your product to local agent for testing.

(1) The maximum flight time 46 minutes claimed on the DJI official website is measured when the aircraft is flying at 28.8 kph in windless conditions (25°C) from taking off with a full battery level to the time when the aircraft triggers a low battery warning and automatically lands on the ground. However, during actual flight, due to environmental limitations (temperature, wind power, and air pressure), aircraft speed, and other factors, the maximum flight time may be decreased to different levels.

Reason for environmental factors affecting the maximum flight time:

Temperature: In a low-temperature environment, the battery's discharging performance becomes weaker, which will shorten the maximum flight time. A high-temperature environment will affect the cell endurance. When the aircraft is used frequently in a high-temperature environment, the maximum flight time will be affected, and the cell is likely to be damaged.

Wind power: In a windy environment, the aircraft needs to increase the power for wind resistance. As such, the motor output power is increased, the load current is increased, and the battery level consumption is increased.

Air pressure: (The air pressure in the test environment is similar to the air pressure value at sea level.) The air pressure is low in the high attitude area, and thin air causes higher motor load and load current, which results in greater power consumption.

(2) If the battery cycle count is larger, the battery capacity is decreased due to cell damage. It is normal for the maximum flight time to be shortened. The specific battery level is still affected by the flight environment and flight mode. If you are concerned about battery malfunction, please send your product to local agent for testing.

When Air3S will support Googles 3? Interestingly enough that I was told by DJI Salesman that everything is already compatible. However, it is not working and give me the message that Firmware is too early. What shall I do?

The Goggles 3 will need a firmware update to add compatibility to new products introduced, similar to the Neo's release. Can't imagine it will be a long wait.

Hi there. Currently, our official website does not sell DJI Air 3S drones separately in your country. We recommend that you go to your local retail store to see if it is sold separately.
You can check it through this link: https://www.dji.com/de/where-to-buy/retail-stores
