Is the Samsung Galaxy S4 compatible with the Phantom 3 Standard

What does the list of compatible devices say?

According to the Download page, which lists all currently compatible phones, the answer is no. A Samsung note 4 is listed but don't know if that is the correct model name.

The list says "Requires android 4.1.2 or later" and Samsung Galaxy S4 is not listed but my S4 is android5.0.1. My phantom 3 standard does not have poi, follow me nor the wayleave modes and I am trieing to find out why. All firmware apps are up to date, the phantom is 100 feet up, multiple flight modes is enabled but when I switch to f mode all I have is "course lock and home lock are enabled" A friend has the same phone as I do and he has these modes

I don't know anything about the S4, but my S5 works ok most of the time, especially if I kill all background stuff, go to airplane mode, and reboot it.  I also give it a minute or so to finish any internal stuff after I restart it, just to let it settle down.  I haven't lost the link in quite awhile (knock on my wooden head), but I won't be surprised when it happens again.

my s4 mini works altho with a bit of lag, your full sized s4 should have no issues. as for everyone claiming the "look at the approved device list" you need to learn to look past that and look at hardware

I think that is the problem, definitely not the phone as we tried my phone with his phantom and it worked properly but his phone did not work with mine i.e. switch to f mode and all that came up was "course lock and home lock are enabled" no screen showing the 5 options

Tried it on my Samsung S4 and it works.

Problem was I had IOC enabled in the settings before take off
