I am planning to get a drone in the next 3 weeks. I want to know if the air 3s is better or mavic 3 pro. The lenses look cool, but dont matter to me. The price does not matter.

That's what you need to understand if you want to choose the drone that will be best for you.

Just depends what you want it for, there are going to be differences in quality , also tech one has some new tech is it important to you one is bigger than the other so travelling it will be more cumbersome .
Really so many questions you’re probaly better asking yourself and there is enough information on the forum plus you tube . On the thread you will just get peoples biased views but the reasons they choose may not suit your ideas.

they're very different, not too sure what you mean by "lenses look cool but don't matter" because that's the main difference, besides sensors and compatability.

I have the Mavic 3 Pro Cine, and do not have the Air 3S.  All things considered, I would suggest getting the new kid on the block.  The Mavic 3 Pro is nice, but I have noticed a lot of gimbal peculiarities that I suspect will be fixed in the Mavic 4.  Also, you get the newest transmission system in the Air 3S.  Just my opinion.  The Mavic 3 Pro is good.  Not epic.  Just good.  I'm kind of waiting on the 4, but also hesitant if it does not have a SDK.  I guess I am just feeling neutral these days and waiting to be truly wowed.  Maybe between the two you mentioned, the right answer is neither and to wait and see what the 4 looks to bring to the table?

if the air 3s has lidar I would not see why their flagship drone wouldnt, personally I feel like it will still use the rc2, but there could be a rc pro2 since current mavic 3 uses o3+, maybe o4+ on the mavic 4?? not too sure but we'll see soon enough since the battery is approved by faa.

also if you look at the m2p that released in 2018 already had all around sensors, just for them to release air 2s in 2021 only with top, down, back sensors, you could probably tell mavic 4 isn't just gonna have front lidar's, honestly if mavic 4 only has front lidars it wouldn't be worth it, at least front and back.

no idea until they release it!  
I will probably get a 4.  I just wish they would reconsider and have a sdk for it.

To me the radio controller it is also an important factor in the equation, after all, that's what I'm using to communicate with the drone, so regarding the OP question, I would go for the Mavic 3 Pro...

Nearly the same size (restrictions) but better camera and a definitely better radio controller...

Then again, the RC Pro 2 is coming, but not in the next 3 weeks...

Are you going to get the RC Pro controller as well?

While it is the perfect combo, the RC Pro2 is coming soon..(but it probably won't be compatible with the Mavic 3 Pro)

If that's the case then yes, the new Mavic 4 Pro and the new RC Pro 2, will/could be a better option once they become available..
