We recently acquired some new TB65 batteries to use with our M300 RTK. I am struggling to make sure all of the components have the correct firmware before proceeding with the new batteries. The M300 and controller are v09.00.0503 and 09.00.0501, respectively, which I assume includes the necessary aspects of the v7 update for compatibility.

Our L1 currently has 04.00.0106, which Pilot 2 calls the latest. Apparently v07.00.01.10 is necessary. I know you can do an update through the SD card but I cannot find a download for the Zenmuse L1 firmware v7.

Furthermore, I do not know what version our BS60 battery station currently is. I understand I can either update the BS60 with DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series) or with the controller but neither work.

- With the BS60 battery station plugged in, I can select it in DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series) V2.1.12, but there are no options to check or update the firmware. The only options on the left tab are Log Export and DJI Assistant Log. If I try to enter Log Export Mode I get an error ("Device Not Supported. Please download the correct DJI Assistant in the official website product page.").

- Connecting the BS60 to the Smart Controller Enterprise (trying both the lower USB-C and upper USB-A ports), I don't get any notices about firmware in Pilot 2 and the battery station does not appear on the list of devices under Firmware in the Health Management System.

The update guide makes it seem like a wrong step can brick your devices. It does say "the further firmware update method will not be limited by the update method described in this guide" so it sounds like the newer versions should all be compatible (no need to downgrade?). Still, I would appreciate any guidance on my issues with the BS60 and L1 firmware. Thanks!

I don't think in your case you need to follow the update procedure as it's mainly for the RC+ and not for the TB65.

We have updated to the RC+ FMW and the update guide is made for that, also you can use a computer with DJI Assistant2.
In your case, I would :

- install TB65 in your unit as-is
- start RC Enterprise
- start M300 with L1
- check what Pilot2 "says", install necessary updates
- Plug your controller into BS60 and check status ( the interface port, not the charging one )

Thanks for your reply, AR_AirPrecision. That sounds about right. I was able to get most of my questions answered through the DJI support chat last night and I'll explain my findings for anyone else who stumbles on this post.

Having the M300 in v09.00.0503 and controller in v09.00.0501 seems to be perfectly compatible with the new batteries. And the L1 in v4 is fine or doesn't matter.

When I installed the TB65 batteries in the aircraft, I was given the option to update them for compatibility (but this actually downgraded them to v9.xxx.39, weirdly). I still don't know why DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise) doesn't show the firmware options for my BS60 battery station, but after restarting it and the Smart Controller a few times it finally showed up in the Health Management System while connected via USB. The DJI support chat guided me to a ZIP file (Matrice 300 RTK BS DJI Pilot Offline Firmware Update v07.00.00.08) that I loaded onto the RC to do an offline update of the TB65 to v09.03.00.48 one at a time with the battery station. Not sure if that was necessary, but the aircraft seems happy with them.

Will be flying in a couple days so I'll report back if there are any issues. Seems like I was overthinking most of these concerns. Will be considering the RC+ next...
