Hello,
I bought the DJI Remote Controller 3 (along with the DJI Goggles 3) to learn flying FPV in manual mode with the DJI Neo. I used the controller to pilot the Neo, but I mostly use it as an HID joystick on my Windows 10 PC with the Liftoff simulator.  However, this week, the gimbal axis did not work in the simulator (the black wheel on the left side).  I don't know the cause, and I suspect 3 possible events:1) Is it because I updated the Controller 3 firmware using DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer)?
2) Is it because I paired the Controller 3 & Goggle 3 with a DJI O3 PNP air unit drone?
3) Or is it that my Controller 3 is suddenly defective for no apparent reason?

In Windows settings, if I go to 'Set up USB game controllers', I can see all axes and buttons being recognized (moving red), except for the black gimbal wheel (which stays in the center).

Thanks

It appears that connecting the DJI Controller 3 along with the DJI Goggles 3 to the DJI Neo restored the gimbal axis for PC USB use in simulator.
However, when I switch back to the DJI O3 Air Unit in the DJI Goggles 3 menu, then the DJI Controller 3 gimbal axis stops working when connected through USB to my PC.
This appears to be a firmware bug!  Can it be fixed?

I have the same problem with the gimbal wheel, but trying to switch from O3 to Avata 2 doesn't help. Once in a few attempts over a few days it works, but you can't find the relationship. If the wheel doesn't work, I also have a problem with calibrating the sticks. I guess he had to complain about his controller.

Hey, try these steps before connecting the controller to your PC:
- turn on the controller
- hold the power button until you hear the pairing sound
- turn off the controller
- restart and connect to your PC.

This is what worked for me.
