Good news! It seems DJI drone products, particularly the Air 3s, are making it through U.S. customs without much hassle. I placed my order on December 8th, and it arrived today, December 11th. The shipment, handled by DHL, passed through the Los Angeles Gateway before being delivered to my home in Phoenix, Arizona. Given all the concerns about U.S. customs delays shared on this site, I wanted to offer some encouraging news. Fly safe and have fun!

In the same boat as many here.  Ordered air 3s on November 20. Arrived and stayed in customs until the 28th when it was shipped back to DJI.  went thru many chats with DJI resulting in the typical “will escalate the refund process and someone will contact you in 24 to 48 hours. The result each time was a new email stating the same thing.  “Sorry and we will escalate the refund process.  Appreciate your patience.”

I will give it another day or two and then I will start a charge dispute to try and expedite the return money. I won’t take a chance on ordering a replacement until I have money from DJI in hand. I have had really good luck with DJI in the past but this is not acceptable. I have been out the money for 25 days so far and feel. have been quite patient to this point.

Well.  Woke up this morning to find my refund has been processed.  Thank you DJI.  This whole customs thing and DHL has been a mess.  Now on to tapping a different source for the 3s. Patience is the key.

Ordered my first Drone from DJI (I've had others). Air 3S expected delivery of Dec 18th (ordered on Dec 14th). Drone was in Cincinnati on Dec 15th (according to DHL) now it shows "On Hold" in China. DHL customer service told me it was called back by the shipper (aka DJI). On hold with DJI support phone and waiting in the chat queue. It's crazy to me this is how they operate, BBB may be my next contact. They make ZERO mention of this kind of thing potentially being an issue when you order on their website, very poor business practices, I'm shocked they have an even remotely decent reputation.

so I guess the DHL Custom hold is still an ongoing issue.... Mine has been on hold for 3 days, with 0 update... Is there a possibility to cancel the order?

Which customs hub? With the Christmas and New Year break I would personally wait a bit longer.

Received notification from DHL via chat today that mine is held up due to duties and taxes needing to be paid... Chat hasn't been helpful in this. Just keep getting escalated. Whatever that means.

This might mean they open the outer cardboard box to see the retail box that is inside.  Mine arrived with the plastic wrap undisturbed but the outer box might have been open and resealed.

At one point I was pretty certain mine was not going to make it... then a day later it was in my hands.

What was the HTC or HTS code? DHL says customs has mine and that they need that code.  DJI chat agent was no help.

All of this is such BS...

I ordered my Air3s Dec 19, 2024.  It shipped via UPS. It arrived in Louisville, KY on 12/24 and has been sitting there since.  No updates, apparently nothing DJI, UPS or I can do about it. On the 25th UPS requested my tax ID number for customs... I provided it right away.  It still sit there.  DJI offered to cancel my order, but that doesn't really help me.

The DJI website recently posted this:  Your products will be shipped from overseas, and shipping to some eastern states ( i.e. New York,New Jersey, Pennsylvania) is currently unavailable. Please contact our customer service for more detailed information.

I can't understand why this would be an issue that affects NJ differently than other states...

It's a mess and Neither DJI nor UPS nor anyone seems to give a damm about getting me what I paid for...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
