this year we had the phenomenon of taking loops with the result that many lakes and rivers are empty or have half water. the one in question had much less than half of her normal amount. surely if it is to supply the village with water, it would go through special filters. I didn't find many details unfortunately.

Filtering would certainly be essential - and possibly purifying as well
