I got a call from a friend last night and he wants me to help him on a salvage dive this morning at a local lake.  Should make for an interesting dive

I'm just helping him as I love to dive and if gives me something to do for the day.  However, if we are successful he will reap a large salvage fee.

Definitely better than scraping the boat's hull.  W were able to get the experimental airplane out.  I didn't realize until I got down there that is was a mini version.  We removed the wings from the fuselage and took them up first.  We tried to raise the fuselage and motor as one unit but the 5 airbags we had were not enough to life that weight.  We contacted the owner/builder and he instructed us on how to remove the engine cowling and then the engine.  After that we got it to easily float up to the surface and all pieces then loaded onto my friend's motorized barge and back to shore and put on my trailer.  .  We just got through delivering it back to the owner.  He was ecstatic to see it and get it back.  He said he would replace the electronics and then go through the engine.  I'm ready for a shower and a bit to eat now.

wow.  so after all that the plane could fly again,    amazing.

It will need a few minor structural repairs but overall it was in really good shape.  He had to make a forced landing so he opted for a lake landing vice landing in a forest nearby.  Good choice on his part as it would have probably ended up crashed into a tree.

Yes,  that would have been better.  but longer also means the drone moves more.

I know. It's close to impossible with a drone to do those long exposures and get anything sharp.

I was doing long exposures with the fireworks and was having the same issue,  but when you catch up you'll see that.
