I have finally gotten around to plugging my controller and drone into the computer to update the computer to update firmware.

My drone updated straight away. However my controller won't connect. Is this because the firmware is up to date?

It just can't see it on the screen.

Is this normal?

Is it faulty?

Did you download both the Phantom 2 Vision+ Assistant Software v3.6 and Phantom RC Assistant Software v1.2?
You need them both to do all the calibrations and any updates to the Phantom and the transmitter.

Yes. It just won't connect. I'm assumong there's a problem with the controller.

However, I'll double check tonight regarding the Phantom RC Assistant Software v1.2.

Plug it in to the computer by usb. turn on your controller.  Then open RC asst. 1.2.   You should hear the connection tone when you connect to the computer when you turn on the controller.

HA! That worked perfectly. I'd been doing it wrong.

I was trying to connect it via the PT2 download. You were right, it was the RC download I needed.
