Newbie here, connected my genuine osmo battery handle and set on tabletop to record. About an hour later, camera shutoff. Upon restart, it indicated the handle battery was dead and unit was 100% so I was able to continue. Perhaps when first recording I was using the handle battery? Can I/Should I be setting (if possible) to use the units battery first? If yes, should it switchover automatically to battery handle if unit battery is critical low?

Nothing in manual, nothing in page you linked, where are you referring too regarding "Power consumption/power supply priority: Charger charging the device & device's power consumption > battery handle supplying power/charging the device > Charging the battery of the battery handle. "??

The battery handle charges the internal battery, so depletes first. It is strange way of doing it, but that is what happens. Beware too that if the battery handle goes totally flat, you can lose connection to any USB-C device that is plugged into it, e.g., wireless receiver or external mic.

Hi there,

When connected to Osmo Pocket 3, it can extend the operating time for Osmo Pocket 3. When using the device with the battery handle, the power consumption priority is given to the battery handle, which also charges the device simultaneously. Once the device has been fully charged by the battery handle, another charging cycle will only be triggered when the battery level drops below 95%.
