There was one of those auditors went there and told them he was going to fly over from outside, this guy does this a lot to the NT to make content for YT, they got so offended they told him that you couldnt film inside or even run it was all banned.
Hmmmm, those 'auditors' are not really the friends of drones, are they?
Although, I have seen a couple of videos recently where at least the police seem to be more educated on drone laws - are the 'auditors' videos partly responsible for that education? Maybe?
That said, it always seems to me that 'auditors' are there to provoke for clicks and views more than anything else.
I've only ever had one person be unhappy about my drone flying and they were a lot more understanding when I explained what I was doing. I was disturbing her peaceful knitting outside of her front door - shooting a very nice church in a valley oposite her home - I explained that I could not resist photographing and filming the church as I was driving through and saw that it was such a pretty setting. She then seemed quite proud of that and her attitude softened a lot!
As for Kew, I guess they see videoing this event as free promotion as well so encouraging photos and videos is not an altruistic move. |
