I've been beating my head against the wall and verbally abusing poor ChatGPT for days now over this.... here we go:

TL;DR
I can't import pins (map markers) into Pilot 2 on a RC Pro Ent. for the M3E.

The Why:
I'm scanning utility poles for California Public Utilities Comission's General Order 95 (execute order 66).  We get assigned "nodes" (a block of 100-ish) of utility poles through a unnamed CRM platform's map widget.  This is a huge bottleneck for reasons I won't go into.  I'm writing a Python program that will take the CSV file from SalesForce (whooops!) with the pole locations (GPS) and convert it into a DJI-readable format (that's the core of it anyway) that I can import into my Smart Controller, so when I'm flying these poles wearing AR glasses, I never have to look over to an iPad with the SF Map up (or even down to the controller).  No matter what I do, I can't get a single KML or KMZ to import with pins.

The How:
If I can get ONE file to import the pins, then I'm in business... I can have my AI friend rip the thing apart, figure out the format / schema for valid DJI KMZ / KML files, and get cracking on a converter.... Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Export pins (KML) from the RC Pro (RCP), re-imort them as each type of mission (Waypoint, Area Route, Linear Route)
2. Export pins (KML) from the RCP, import them into FlightHub 2 (FH2) (worked), export from FH2, import them back into RCP
3. Export pins (KML) from the RCP, import into Google Earth (works), export back out into KMZ format into RCP
4. Create a new waypoint mission with only one waypoint and four pins. Export the mission, delete the local mission, re-import (that worked but the pins don't live in that KMZ)

The What:
For the first three scenarios, I would either get a "Task Type Error" or something about invalid point coordinates... so I'm stuck, and AI has failed me.  Any humans care to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks & fly safe everyone!

It may help your AI friend out if you would call products and stuff by their real name. There's no such thing as a Smart Controller 2. It's an RC Pro Enterprise. Also, DJI Pilot 2 or just Pilot 2.

Now, what exactly are you trying to do with 100+ pins? IF they could be imported are you trying to make a waypoint route from one to the next? This MAY be possible if formatted correctly. If you're trying to orbit each waypoint automatically then there's no way to do this currently. As far as I know there's no way to just import pins and definitely no way to use them in an automated flight route.

Whoops! John I can’t keep track of every new DJI device that I wind up buying when they cut a new one every week! ;) Thanks for the correction… on to your question:  So we get assigned groups of 100 (six at a time) through these horrid Salesforce maps.  It’s a pain to try and reference them while you’re flying, and we’re expected to get a couple hundred a day….so I found it 10X more efficient to just put those colored pins in Pilot 2 (same markers you can pinpoint with the laser range finder on the M300RTK)I’m trying to find a way to automate this import process so I can write a Python script and hand it out to the team.  The only (manual) way I’ve found to do this is by going from SalesForce —> Google Earth —> DJI FlightHub 2, and then push the pins over the cloud to the drone.  I’d like to find a way to cut out the cloud….  Thanks for taking the time to respond!
