Saving photo/video takes a very long time at initial recording

Hi,

I have the Osmo Action 5 Pro and have the issue that after the camera is idle for a longer time (like hours, the next day or after charging), the _saving_ of the initial recording (no matter if it's video or photo) takes a very long time (like minutes).
It is expressed by the fact that the top left spinner besides the SD card symbol spins for minutes and the camera cannot be used until it is done (which is pretty annoying if you want to make a subsequent recording and your subject is gone until the camera saved the recording...).

This seems to be pretty independent from the duration of the recording - as said, it happens with either photos or videos - even if the video has only a few seconds duration.

Additionally, sometimes I noticed the recording of the first video is automatically aborted after something like 15 seconds and then the camera goes into the long saving - it feels like some buffer ran full and therefore it had to abort the recording.

It can also happen for the next few recordings after the initial recording but after a few recordings are made, the saving speed goes back to _regular_ speed (the spinner is only displayed for like 3 seconds).
And then it's all good until the camera is idle for a long time again...

Here is a video that shows saving a 5 second video recording after the camera being idle over night:

This happened with the original Firmware the camera was deliviered with as well as the newer firmware it is currently running on:
Firmware Version 01.01.05.20
Camera Firmware Version 10.00.10.18

Is this a known problem/did anyone else experience this?

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

We apologize for the delayed response. We suggest you reset the camera and perform the test once more. If the issue persists, kindly provide us with a video of the test and the camera log, as this will assist us in further analyzing the problem.

Please keep us updated.

Do this happen with internal memory card used, or only added memory card?

I had the same issue and it happen only when using the MicroSD.
Another think i noticed is that this occur when the MicroSD is around 50% of its full capacity .

I don't have another MicroSD to test with , so i can't test if it's related only to the microSD that i'm using ..

Then it is probably the sdcard that is the problem.
Use only the internal memory card.

Thanks for your replies, I wanted to test it using a different SD card but unfortunately I had to send in the camera for repair due to this other issue: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=323013.
Therefore I am currently unable to test it with another SD card to verify whether this specific SD card causes the issue.

Since I am only using SD cards for storage (internal storage is too small), I cannot tell whether this issue also occurs with the internal storage.

I will perform the test with another SD card once I have the camera back.
