I said why did my door just again open, so I take a closer look, and found if I slipped down without the press of the bottom my door slides open. I said let me swap to the Action 3, and Action 4, same issue, so if I placed on the Action 3 door to the Action 5 pro, to see if the camera is at fault, no, it is the Door of the Action 5 pro that is at fault
Addressed to the world may be DJI wants to fix this with a replacement door, to confirm it's the actual door of mine, or if any other person feels of concern to test theirs out then to find out when its too late after water gets into the camera, I start checking now before its too late. doors are to be locked, they are not, thank you for leaving the door unlocked DJI
Cost of Actual door
Updated: Get with a DJI.com Representitive, if you come across a defective door, they will require to take information and fill out a request, and you may get a replacement door if granted.

I did put a couple of drops of silicon oil in mechanism as when I had OA4 it used to silt up a little with sand and become very difficult to open.
silicon sorted out problem.
Maybe something on yours is a little sticky and a few drops in there might help ?
If you get with DJI and have your Seriel number, a photo, and a video, and be polite about your concern they will replace the door one time only steps aren't complicated getting with them and chatting with courtesy good luck.
Wow, a good catch. it is funny ( not laughing) that I aught the issue myself, di not see that till now, glad I was able to resolve it with a replacement

Then mine seems to be faulty, too. I can open the door without pressing the unlock button !
Hi Coppy,
Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Could you share the video for us to check on the issue? You can share via google drive link as well. We are looking forward to your response for further assistance. Thank You
Thank You for reaching out. If there is any faulty on your device detected you may contact DJI support at https://www.dji.com/support for further assistance. I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!
@Fishicomics wow, thank you very much for making this public.
Based on this thread I was checking the camera door of my OA5 and it has the same issue - it just opens without the lock button being pressed.
I'm glad I did not (yet) use the camera in water as this could easily kill the camera if the door just opens and you would - after the fact - probably just think you left the door open even though the lock was just not working correctly...
I contacted DJI support with a video of mine but they unfortunately told me that doors are not in stock at the moment and they can therefore not just send me a new door - therefore I had to send in my camera to get this fixed.
I have the same issue...and they told me to send the camera for service...and i have to stay without my camera few weeks until that door is fixed in the warranty ...i dont understand why i have to send the camera when i send them pictures and videos of this issue and they told me it's a hardware problem and they have to know if it's user damaged or not... unbelivable. They could easy fix this just sent that door to customers who have that issue with this new camera...since is a common problem, not to let me without the camera for weeks to send it in another country...i am so mad...

I just checked mine, and the door on my OA5 is making a gap, that is not happening on the OA4 I have beside me.
So water can easily get in there.
Mine seems to have the gap too, but I can't see the red square marks, doesn't seems that the seal is being compromised because of that since behind the gap is the door hinge, but it is possible that it may be a sign that there is not enough pressure on the seal. My battery door also has some play(less than the charging door but I can feel it). It will be good if DJI can take a look and say if that gap is normal or not.
The battery door: its locked on mine, you can force movement ever so slightly, to me that is the Norm its 100% locked, just amuses me of the DV that pops in to show their Love. DJI can see who it is, put a stop to the hurtful bullying on this site, then be hateful what a life they live
you can with getting with support or buying one, problem is DJI will determine how the warranty works, if you got the camera and the return period is still there that be the best route

Well as you know, I will not send in my camera to get a replacement door. Also I have care refresh on it so I should be covered if needed. But I never put any of my cameras under water, but in the snow sometimes it will happen.
But will be looking for a door, or just one from on of my 2 OA4's.
I told them i have this issue and they want me to send camera to service in another country to wait few weeks without my camera...just for that door who is like that from the factory...and i need my camera daily for vlogging and posting on youtube...they advertised as waterproof and now i cannot use it properly because of that door...it's my first dji product and i am so mad...they should send that door to customers who have this issue... not to tell them to give up on their camera for 2-3 weeks because of their factory problem...

I hear you. wish I could help I did nothing special to get the door,
From what this user posted it may be a good idea to not dive if you have the gap in the door. It will be good if DJI can sent doors to affected customers without having to return the camera for service.
Unfortunately I'm joining the club, so probably most units has this issue.
Of course , I could probably open the door completely , but that's not a real case scenario , so in this picture I only slide it a bit , without forcing it .
So it looks like they might all be like this then? Might explain why DJI are refusing to send doors out because they probably don't want to recognise the issue if it's very wide-spread.

Yes, I did that after watching your video, Fish, and my door moves easily away from the hinge without pressing the button.
Mine has a similar issue - Does not seem to fully lock and I can slide it open a tiny amount without pushing the button. DJI support stated that as long as the red marks do not show, the camera is still sealed and waterproof since the red seal is still keeping water out of the USB connector. They did not offer to replace the door as they said it was normal but this does not give me confidence...

I feel the same.
For people going diving with higher water pressure it would force water inside + Fish also show in his video dipping just a part of the camera into water show it's not waterproof.
So in the end it is us their customes that will have to buy a new camera just because mods here are under strict rules from DJI HQ.
It should, and the video I sent them shows how easily I can open the door without pressing the button (and they acknowledged this wasn’t correct), but they will only replace the camera if I send them the whole thing.

I agree. I am sure DJI has a camera in hand to try it themselves.
If that s how now, DJI wants to handle it, I have to respect their decision,
Someone with two doors should check if the seal is thicker in the older model, I lost my Action 3 door long time ago so I can't check. From what I see the seal pressure is kept by the sliding latches at the top and the bottom of the door, the only way I could think the seal is not keeping the water out is if it is thinner than necessary.
