I noticed a recent thread on here where people were asking for a firmware update to enable the RC2 controller to work with the Avata 2 drone, but it became a bit convoluted with some confusion in the replies over which 'RC2' the poster asked about.
So I'm posting the same question/request on this new thread.
It's becoming very difficult to do searches on compatibility updates because previous answers are still there even when the situation has changed.
I'd like to add my support for the request to DJI to enable this compatibility though.
At present the Avata 2 can only be controlled by FPV Goggles, so it is illegal to fly without a spotter inmost countries.
The RC2 and the Avatar 2 both use 04 transmission and the Goggles 3 and the RC2 can control my Mini 4 Pro and my Neo, so it seems to just be a firmware option that hasn't been enabled yet.
I'd even seen a recent Youtube video where it showed an Avata 2 bound to a pair of Goggles 3 and an RC2 simultaneously, so that the RC2 sticks could be used, though its screen was blank. It seems like such a small step more for the RC2 to be able to control the Avata 2 on its own....... I bet the Avata 2 sales would increase given that option to fly legally without
a spotter....
