I have wanted to fly drones for ages! So i thought id start small and see how I get on. I purchased a 2nd user Mini SE and all seems well, I know it has been "tested" and sold as in great working order! So it arrived all shiny and boxed and Im excited!
I take it to my garden to simply learn to take off and land and it wont take off.
Ok here is the run down:
1. I have installed the App
2. I have attached my phone and got it all working
3. Both the control and drone is charged
4. The propellars are spinning and powering on to take off
The drone simply stays grounded and spins on the spot. thats it, its doesnt get any futher
The only issue the app is showing me is a amber satellite warning.
Im a little dispappointed as I was looking forward for this being a gateway to the hobby.
We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. For further assistance, could you please provide a screenshot of the error message you received, so we can investigate this further?
Additionally, please make sure to download and install the latest version of the DJI Fly app, and refresh the drone's firmware to the latest version using DJI Assistant 2.

Hey
There is no error message and I have the latest version
The motors spin up and the app says taking off but the drone simply spins on itself and doesn’t get off the ground

check the motors and the propellers.
your problem sounds like something i've seen before, the cause was that the installed propellers were spinning backwards (Clockwise propellers installed in a Counter Clockwise motor).
check that the "marked" propellers are installed on the "marked" motors, and the "blank" propellers are on the "blank" motors.

Do the props push air downwards?
Or are they on the wrong motors and pushing air upwards?
The only issue the app is showing me is a amber satellite warning.
That's completely normal if you are indoors or in a location where buildings, trees etc are blocking the skyview.
If your drone is out in the open with a clear view of most of the sky, it will acquire sufficient sats and the sat icon will turn white.

You have two motors that rotate clockwise and two that are anti-clockwise.
You have two prop sets for the CW motors and two for the CCW motors.
If you put the CW props on the CCW motors, and CCW props on the CW motors the props are going to push air upwards rather than downwards.
Check yours to see if that's your issue.

Ok this looks like it could be the issue, now you have pointed it out I can see it on the arms!
