I recently captured some footage of free-roaming cats in Spain using the Pocket 3, and I’m seriously impressed with how well this camera performed! These cats were moving around quickly and unpredictably—hunting, playing, and exploring the beautiful landscape—yet the Pocket 3’s stabilization and focus kept up perfectly. I was able to follow them from different angles without any shaky footage, even when they dashed off into the bushes or climbed up walls.
The natural lighting in the Spanish countryside also brought out some stunning colors in the video. The camera handled the brightness and shadows really well, so each shot looks crisp and vibrant, even in the golden evening light. If anyone’s thinking about using the Pocket 3 to capture wildlife or fast-moving animals, I’d definitely recommend it.
Let me know if you have any tips for filming outdoors or working with animals—I’d love to keep exploring with this camera!
I shot the video in slow motion at 4x (120fps), and the pocket 3 saves it at 30fps for smooth playback. Unfortunately, though, the recording bitrate is only around 35Mbit, which does limit some of the finer details. But overall, I’m still really happy with how it turned out!
