I would like to know if there is anyway to disable GPS on my NEO. I have just finished testing indoors and it flys great untill it gets a GPS lock then it wiggs out in low light areas every time. It flys perfect untill it gets that lock and moves to low light areas. I know others have expierenced same issues. I just need away to turn off or disable the GPS indoors. And the aluminum foil trick does not work either. This quad is ment to fly inside. Please DJI help with this.

There is a way to disable GPS if you take it apart. DJI should fix this with firmware!

These symptoms are related to my FlyAway:

Hi there! Thank you for sharing your concern with us. We note that you would like to disable the GPS function on the DJI Neo. However, we discourage you from doing so. DJI Neo has a built-in GPS module and thus it cannot take off in restricted zones.

The GPS signal is inadequate for real-time positioning, thus preventing the device from accurately identifying whether it is within a GEO Zone. Should it later recognize that it is flying in a GEO Zone, the device will initiate an immediate landing. In the interest of flight safety and compliance, if you plan to fly in a GEO Zone, we recommend seeking authorization from the appropriate authorities and applying for unlocking.

Thank you for your understanding, your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

DJI Natalia, thanks for your reply.  I am talking about flying with out GPS indoors only. Your product should not even have a GEO Zone enabled while flying in a enclosed area. It simply does not need Global positioning while flying indoors. Why can that not be user activated as a menu option?

Thanks

Agree, but I think it is also an issue with the visual sensing system in low light.  Someone at this forum placed a length of black tape over the downward facing sensors. Took off and the Neo went into "Autonomous Uncontrolled Mode (AUM)".  No stick input transmitted to regain control.  Guessing even manual motor cut if activated would work.
I lock zero to 2-3 satellites inside the house.  All was fine until... Had a AUM event when I flew into a deep shadowed area and the camera was facing a very dark colored field of view.

My goal is to fly outside in the evening with plenty of light and shadows on one side of the houses. Any suggestions?
