Has anybody tried filming Stonehenge?I know they have to "let you in" due to vandalism and such, but what ifyou actually flew in from a distance?Is it even "legal"? Whatever you do, just don't tell me it's privateproperty

I think there is a military base, Boscombe Down quite close, but I really don't know.

I live very close to a Military base but I dont see it as a no fly zone on any maps so far ive not flown near my home but i would like to, How do I find out if its prohibited?

I'm in the UK

It would come on your map in the DJI go app - this one shows Exeter airport but nothing for Lympstone comando - Although I am sure if I flew over Lympstone comando they might use it for some target practice

hmmm dont think the picture came up - but have a look in your app and zoom to an airport you will see what I mean

I used to fly near it in a microlight.  Shouldn't be a problem from the general flying point of view.

However, the CAA prohibits a drone flying nearer than 50 metres to a structure.  You may want to bear that in mind.  From 3,000 ft up, Stone Henge looks very small.  From 50 metres, probably OK.
