Given permission to fly at our local ski hill during non-operating hours.  This morning tried to fly up to the snowline from last nights early snowfall. But could not fly in Manual mode to the top. Reached an altitude of ~100 meters (Neo limit is 120 meter) above Home and ~365 meters in distance.  Distance is set at unlimited.  All of a sudden a red warning box appeared in OSD noting cannot fly in manual mode due to altitude/distance.  Neo switched itself over to N mode. Flipped the switch to S mode. No issues. Would not engage M mode.   Repeated the same event with the 2nd battery flying up a different run.  Both radio and video signal strength were full bars when the events happened.

Normal Neo behavior?  Just read through the Neo Manual and could not find any note about limited Manual mode range. Bit strange. No limits beyond signal strength in S mode.

Thanks, so not normal behavior.
No real issue for my normal flying of the Neo.  When flying the Neo Manual mode I usually stay below 100 meters altitude and within 100 meters distance.  Will look into exporting the Data.

Accessed the Flight Record file. Looks to have stopped recording flight records at the end of September 2024.  Located in the USA.  Not sure if this is due to DJI stopping the flight log function of the DJI FLY app in the USA?

Hi there,

Sorry for the inconvieneiece. Please try the steps as in this link under DJI Fly - Log Upload

Followed the instructions in the Link.  Still no flight record log. Tried another option. iPhone iOs 17.7.1. File>Last DJI Flight Log file listed was Sept 23.  Went back to DJI Fly App v 15.  Service>Support>Log Upload.  Date of Occurrence, selected the Sept 23 date.  Clicked Flight Record field.  Selected Flight Record 0/0 noted. No record of the DJI Flight Log file of Sept 23.

Did update the DJI Fly App from v14.? before linking the Neo that was purchased in early October.  For whatever reasons,  no flight logs recorded after that date. No big issue. Did not purchase any of the DJI aftermarket services. Flying the Neo true VLOS distances. Auto switching from M to N mode will be a subtle hint that I'm flying too far away.
