DJI says it is because of production benefits....
It has nothing to do with the Cracks........i haven't even flew My P3 yet.
Maybe I can demand to swap for the new version? Has anyone got their phantoms
Repaired got them back from DJI? Did they say what the repair consisted of?

They say that because it has nothing to do with the cracks. There are enough conspiracy theories. The cracks are most likely due to the design of the shell and or the injection molding process.

It might be worth doing a survey for this - I have the new motors and I have no cracks (yet) - I am a very careful pilot though - no crashes yet

Of course there is a survey about cracks but it doesnt distinguish between new and old motors

The motors were part of the E305 kit, it makes sense to move over to them as saves production, i can see the E310 kit getting the new 2312E motors as well,

Its just a part supply thing. absolutely  no issues with the 2312 motors, intact its often preferred to have earlier models as often changes are made for cost savings.

Is there any info about the new motors and the new central board where cracks already appeared? I am just curious.
