Will audience mode work between goggles 3 and goggles N3 with say the Neo or Avata 2. I am thinking of buying a set of goggles N3 so I can fly the Avata 2 or Neo with my goggles 3 and have a friend 'come along for the ride' wearing the goggles N3

Indeed, the user manual provided by Mavic57Minis can serve as a reference.

1. Enter the DJI Goggles N3 menu, select Transmission and enter the Pilot sub-menu.

2. Turn on Broadcasting mode, and the device number will be displayed.

3. On the other goggles, enter the goggles menu, select Transmisson and enter the Audience sub-menu.

4. If any nearby goggles turn on the Broadcasting mode, the device and its signal strength can be viewed in the Audience sub-menu. Select the device number to access the liveview. Switching to Pilot sub-menu to exit the shared liveview.

I dont know that but I do know having a slave goggle degrades the signal

Did the OP try it? Does it really work? Spectate with N3 on a goggles 3?

Yes I did and it did work. You can also spectate on a phone with a cable if the phone is running the DJI fly app

That I dont know. The goggles 3 or N3 will broadcast it is if the Integra will pick up the broadcast

1. Wi-Fi Wireless Sharing: Enable “Share FPV to Mobile Device Via Wi-Fi” in DJI Goggles 3, and connect a mobile device to the goggles via Wi-Fi, and then the live view of the aircraft will be displayed on the DJI Fly app in the mobile device. Wireless sharing supports connecting one mobile device only.  

2. Wired Sharing: Connect DJI Goggles 3 to a mobile device with the USB-C OTG cable and a suitable data cable, and then the live view of the aircraft will be displayed on the DJI Fly app in the mobile device. Wired sharing supports connecting one mobile device only.  

3. Audience Mode: Enable Broadcast Mode in the DJI Goggles 3, and multiple DJI Goggles 3 device can connect to the broadcast channel, enabling the output of multiple real-time camera view. Audience Mode allows unlimited DJI Goggles 3 devices to be connected.

Something I have noticed with my 2 flying pals is that if I spectate the goggles 3 pilot and he goes out of range, the image is very blocky until he is really really close again, but with spectating the goggles n3 pilot this doesn't happen.
So do the goggles 3 prioritise the pilot more than the spectator to a greater degree than the goggles n3 ?
