Thats true the rain has cleared for a bit now,    well until Wednesday,   should give them time to dry out the railway which had some minor flooding during the storm Bert.

I bellieve the suns on holiday for a bit,   will return in the new year.

Luckily the rain has cleared for a few days here,   gave me a chance to wash the car again as the last lot of rain got it very dirty.   Today Ive got to drop of mother birthday present and then meet a friend for coffee.

We have a coffee morning later - might get a chance for a flight afterwards as the rain has stopped and the sky is clearing.

Sounds nice,    did you get any damage from Bert up there,  I don't recall seeing your area in the yellow zone.

Nothing at all.  Saturday it rained all day and was quite windy. Overnight was a bit wild, but Sunday it calmed down sufficiently for our narrowboat hire and cruise to Whaley Bridge and back.  Family day out.
Popped the Action2 on the prow to film the trip.  Moderate results.

That was good,     there was a small amount of damage spotted around here,   I lost a chunk of render off the back of the house,   the neighbour lost a couple of fence panels but almost all the posts are partly broken so its got a nice sway to it,   the railway station had a little flooding,  oh and a boat sank of canvey.

I hired the (all-electric) boat as an experience for Grandson's 20th birthday.
He loved it - ended up doing the entire day's navigation

Yes sadly,    which is also means replacing windows before we have the render done as they need doing too.

Its predicted that we will get 5 named storms here before Christmas,    todays named storm is Conall and its brought a lot of rain over night,   I was drenched by the time I got home this morning.

I was hoping for another good walk today, to reach my 100Km target for the month. But it's not looking promising. Too dark to tell, still, but locally it looks quite damp outside as though it's drizzling.
Yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity to thoroughly test the NEO again after I repaired it.
I was mightily relieved to be able to gently manœuvre the gimbal back onto its mount.
It's working absolutely fine.

That's definitely not good news.  I'm thinking that will bring more power outages and train cancellations.

This will probably jinx it,  but power round here is really stable,    since they installed all new power lines we've not had a single outage.     As for the trains yes,  anything that can fall on that tracks will cause big delays.   Sadly our biggest cause of train delays are lorries that drive into the railway bridges of all things.

Quick get out there.

I did as you suggested, and it turned out well. Almost 10kms with only the merest sprinkle of drizzle - not enough even to wet me. Met up with Mrs.B afterwards (bus) for coffee. Now we're back and it's full sunshine.
Too tired to take the drone out now, though
