Unfortunately, despite a recent firmware update mainly 01.02.03.30, the issue with the ISO parameters in the Manual Exposure Settings, specifically when using the 100–200 and 100–400 ISO ranges remains unresolved. These ranges do not function as expected, limiting flexibility and control over manual exposure, which is critical for precise shooting conditions..

Additionally, I’ve discovered another significant bug that requires immediate attention. The Color Recovery feature in the Color settings is not functioning as intended. This feature is supposed to provide a live preview in Rec709 while recording in D-Log M. However, when Color Recovery is set to ON, recordings are incorrectly captured in the Rec709 color profile instead of D-Log M. To ensure recordings are in D-Log M, users must manually switch the Color Recovery setting to OFF before recording.

Both of these issues significantly impact usability and workflow. I urge you to prioritize addressing these problems in an upcoming firmware update.

Hi. ISO range 100-200 and 100-400 don’t feature on the Action 5. The lowest range on mine is 100-800.

The color recovery works as it should on mine. It shows while recording, but the actual saved pic is in D Log M so I wonder if there is a problem with your camera?

I noticed this in post production. I just set the color recovery to off and the footage was in DLog. Since you are stating that yours works fine, I will have another go at it and check it thoroughly.

Maybe try a reset as well first? I'm not sure that new firmwares always go on properly ....

Edit: I just realised .... the newest firmware is 01.03.02.10, not what you have written.

ISO 100, 200, and 400 are accessible in Manual Mode. However, ISO ranges 100-200 and 100-400 are not available in this mode. The minimum adjustable range is 100-800, which results in very high contrast.

I primarily use the Action 5 Pro for FPV flying, which often involves going under bridges or going from bright to darker areas. When the ISO range is set to 100-200, the exposure remains more consistent when transitioning back into well-lit areas. However, with a wider range of 100-800, there tends to be a brief moment of overexposure when moving from a dark area to a brighter one. I hope this explanation makes it clearer.

Oh, I see. It’s more to do with auto exposure. I get the very same just walking around with it. The exposure seems to be very sensitive and it adjusts in an ‘easily seen’ way.

The Action 4 is better in that respect.

After several new firmwares, DJI is still ignoring the ISO range option for 100-200/100-400. I think this is a major step back from OA4 which featured those ISO ranges, and those combinations are critical to be paired with 24fps & ND filter, which is a must for clean, cinematic footage.

I've posted a thread back in October (please refer to this https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=320632). I'm starting to think maybe there's something fundamental blocking them from adding the range.

I seriously considering selling OA5 and buying OA4 back (which I sold for OA5 purchase).
Overall a great unit apart from lack of the ISO ranges, really disappointing for me.

They have a system that responds to all threads, creating the impression that they value customer input. However, it seems they often ignore necessary suggestions that could genuinely improve the product, choosing to act on their own terms and timeline. If they lack a dedicated department to seriously review and forward customer feedback to the relevant engineers, it feels pointless to make us believe they truly care about our opinions.
