Hi.
I connect my DJI Neo to my Mac computer and download all files to the same folder.
When I play an MP4 video file on my Mac, the media player usually does not automatically load the corresponding audio file (the same name, with the .m4a extension).
When I load the audio file manually, a media player plays it well along with the opened video.
I tried different media players on my Mac (VLC, IINA), and I see the same issue regardless of the media player.
Sometimes, a media player does load automatically the corresponding audio file, but, unfortunately, in most cases does not :-(
In both cases, both audio and video files have the same name (only filename extensions are different: video .MP4, audio .m4a).
Also, I have a third file type for every video — an SRT file, and all media players always load it automatically without any issue. The issue is only with the audio file.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Vadim

I had a similar issue but found a temporary work a round.

Was showing a fried my new Neo (ordered the combo kit with the 3 batteries and battery charger and received it the middle of October 2024).

We did a few test flights, two of which we recorded audio using the mic on my iPhone (15 Pro Max). After the flights we went inside with the Neo, hooked it up to their laptop and copied the files to their laptop using a direct USB-C to USB-C cable (that came with the Neo). Files copied no problem. However, the two flights recorded with audio did not play any sound? After I got home, copied the files to my laptop and experienced the same issue. The two flights we did recording audio did not play any sound. I reviewed the folder on my laptop and I had copied all the files. Each of the two flight recorded with video had 3 files. All the the same date/time. The 3 files extensions were .MP4, .m4a and an .SRT file.

Next, connected my Neo to the DJI Fly App on my iPhone. I went into the album and played both flights (with audio) in the album. They both played fine on my iPhone with audio! I then disconnected my Neo from the iPhone, shut down the DJI Fly App on my iPhone then reconnected the Neo to my laptop using the USB-C cable. I noticed the .MP4 files had a new time. A few minutes ago about when I was playing the vidoes on my iPhone in the album. I then copied the files once again to my laptop. And NOW they played just fine with audio.

I did another two short test flights and discovered the same thing. If I copy the files to my laptop using the USB-C cable without first playing them in the DJI Fly App album, the do not play the audio with the video. However, if I go back and play the flight videos in the DJI Fly App album, then copy to my laptop using the USB-C cable the .MP4 videos play fine with the audio. I hope this helps you with your situation.

Just an additional note. I am assuming the audio file(s) does not get included into the video file(s) until you play it (or them) in the DJI Fly App album prior to using the direct connect to the internal storage and copy to the laptop. I did not have this problem if I use the QuickConnect feature and wirelessly copy the videos to my iPhone. It/they play just fine on my iPhone using the QuickConnect feature.

My experience is the MP4 video file has the audio embedded. When I load the mp4 file into Corel Video Studio, the audio can be split out from the video. Also, when I play the mp4 in Windows, the audio is there.
