I have noticed on the forum that a few issues are running DJI apps on the Samsung S24 Ultra.
I have a range of Osmo cameras to the Osmo Action 4, a Mini Pro 4, a Pocket 3, and several Neo drones.
Initially, I had no issues with the DJI software on the S24 or the previous S22 until I installed Nord VPN on the S24 — then things just did not work.
- The Fly and Mimo app would not connect to any of the devices, even though it recognised them.
- Turning off the Nord VPN on the phone did not fix the issue.
- I then removed Nord VPN from the phone, and this fixed the issue.
- The issue did not occur with my Apple iPad M4 Pro with Nord VPN installed, so it seems to be a Samsung/Android issue.
- I cancelled my Nord VPN subscription and got my money back.
I just installed Tailscale on my systems and have the issue back, so it is related to the VPN in the S24.
- Turning the Tailscale VPN off fixes the issue, but at least I do not have to uninstall the VPN.
So, if people are having trouble with the DJI software on an S24, try turning off any VPN that you may have running.
- If this does not fix the issue, consider removing the VPN software altogether.
I could not find any mention of this VPN issue on the forums, so I decided to share my experience.
