Hi. Can somebody explain me what is the actual difference between these two ports . In user manual they have same specs like in input mode and output .  so why are they have different names ?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Kindly take note that SDC port of DJI Power 1000 is used to charger the power station and SDc Lite is used to power an external device. In this case, the power station prioritizes using the energy drawn from an external power supply to power the external device.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ok get it , thanks. BUT . You are using 2 MPPT adapters for charging the station using both SDC ports .. with the same (according manual)  electric specs . so in this case you have two external power supplies . Otherwise you are using to f.e. chargers for mavic batteries - in this case they are both outputs . So if i understand correctly , the only differense is when you charging your station with DC and SDC port it can charge station itself and drain power to power some external device  simultaneously ?
I think you should clarify this in user manual that u provide . The same as with External battery 2000 . nothing about charging using accesories .
Thank you in advance

I think the difference will be evident when they release the expansion battery. - I sure the "non-lite" version will connect to the expansion.

You missed release )) . and you are right it shoud be connected to SDC none lite . But DJI still gave a poor manual for expansion battery . nothing clear at all about charging except charging via main station .

What is the pin I/O assignment on the SDC or SDC lite connector?

For example, on the 12V+ car battery accessory cable. The cable cig connector only has 12V+ and Ground and connects to the small block that then connects to the power station
SDC connector.

Are the other pins on the SDC connector for data or temperature/amperage monitoring?

Are they necessary since there is no data coming from the 12V cig connector end?

Same example for the SDC to XT60 connector harness.

Hi there. The pin out is the same. And there are no temp and current in that adapters I guess. They are just tells to the station should it switch this port as input or output, max voltage and current SET .

Thank you for that information. Is it just a pull up/ pull down resistor configuration for input vs. output setting?

Since the SDC port does connect to the DJI dongle, I assume at some point it would exchange data in order to work with the DJI dongle.

Im not sure. I think it can be communication lines like I2C or SPI or they use often SMBus. As for the dongle it looks like a bridge for communication . nothing more. I do not know why they do not add this function primary in product , and now its uses one SDC from two available . And to be honest veri weird to be able to connect 5 ext batteries and basic station , and have only two sockets AC and one SDC free ....

I figured out the answer. The SDC connector stands for Software Defined Connector. This allows the port to communicate to the accessories that attach to it. It allows the port to adjust the input/output voltage and amperage based on the accessories' needs (drone, 12V battery, solar charger, etc).

The 4 pins are indeed communication ports. For 12V car battery, it is set to 12V input/output at 10 amps. For other devices, the voltage and amperage will be different.
