With the sun shining Chestnutt Farms took full advatnage of the sun shining with second cut silage. Lifting around the home yard and the outdoor clamp building nicely. Lyons Contracts with the John Deere 9900i with various John Deere tractors and the L90 pushing up silage

Remarkable job of cutting and picking up the second cut silage.  Another super impressive job of filming and editing.  

In the southern parts of the US if there are no more cuts to be taken then experience has proven that is is a great time to address soil fertility on the silage ground.  Usually time to apply the slurry.  How many cuts of the silage is the norm in your area?

see it used to be around 3 cuts as much bulk now we are seeing people delve into 6 cuts but high rich sugar grass
