So as not to create competition for Avata 2. I agree, it is absurd that this drone does not have such a simple mode

The Neo has simple and cheap motors, maybe they are afraid to burn them out. In addition, this is not a full-fledged fpv drone. For such experience, it is better to go to BetaFPV

It's very well protected and this make him perfect candidate for turtle mode - while with my 7" I'll not even try it ;)

Well, it would be great to have this in the latest firmware version.

Maybe just me.  I prefer to exam my quads after crashing hard enough to land upside down.  Chipped prop blades, maybe fracture lines, obstruction, dirt in the motors.....The last time I crashed the Neo hard enough to land upside down unknown to me it was under my truck with two propellers that had each a chunk of blade missing.

You are right If quad fell in a reachable place, i recovered my avata many times - once from a boulder in the river and once from a second floor coridor of abandoned building...

Not sure if just a DJI feature.  Doesn't take much of an prop obstruction to shut down the motor.  Both a feature of the Avata2 and Neo that I fly.  Once "landed" in stubble field.  Forgotten which quad. Tried to arm the motors.  No go. Warning appeared.  Walk of shame. Found the quad. Just almost like straw stubble stopped the motor.  Fine with me.  Beats damaging a propeller or worse.

One issue even if a turtle feature was possible in the Neo.  Your home position resets to your crash location.  Find that annoying.  Home should be where the Controller is.

Hi thee, thank you for rteaching out and sharing your feedback. Please know that all suggestions need to undergo evaluation and unfortunately, that takes time.  Also,  all customers can provide their suggestions and we will be more than happy to forward them to our relevant team but not everything will be approved as there may be some limitations such as technical or firmware limitations. Thank you for your understanding. Have a nice day ahead.

I wonder if the weight and shape make a difference in doing turtle mode for the Neo?

What's turtle mode?

In most cases, when a drone crashes, falls off, and turns over on the ground, it looks like a turtle turning over, and the pilot has to run a long way to pick it up or turn it back. However, with the help of "Turtle Mode", the pilot can operate the remote controller to make two drone motors rotate reversely, and then the drone can flip on the ground. Therefore, it is unnecessary for the pilot to run a long way to flip the drone manually. Additionally, this feature is only applicable to certain drones.

It is possible the motor controller cannot run the motors backwards. I.E. it could be a hardware limitation.
