Love the POI mode to get good 360's of an object. Far less faff that doing it manually

I have been having a lot of trouble on bright, sunny days.  Over exposed on one side, and then under exposed on the other.  Grey days seem easier to get the exposure right.

Cheers,

I guess your wife has the Gimbal Horizon problem
Have you tried IMU calibration on her or maybe she just needs gimbal calibration.Make sure she is on a dead flat, horizontal surface.

Nice vids.

Wow, you have to be really committed to be a member of that church and attend services.  Parking must be a booger!

Tried everything.. IMU calibration, Gimbal calibration, put her in the freezer for an hour, bin on the root, new bin's and previous bin's. Nothing works..

Might need to get her RMA'd and sent to Germany for a seeing too

If I cannot get a proper calibration I might consider it

Mind you its sometimes better to work with what you've got part exchange could turn out to be more expensive

Grey Days. When I went to Photography School the Instructors prayed for Grey Days to go out and shoot especially in the fall in New England when the Foliage peaked The work that we did was very moody and settling.  Grey Days produce great exposures, They produce extra saturation.Of course this was in the day of Film, Fuji Velvia. Digitalis OK but definitely Tripod time. With a Quad, really don't know? I have nattered it yet. Maybe next weekend?

Very nice video Andy!
Question: do you remember at what speed you circled the church? Is the video shot in real time?

Very nice!  Do you use floats in case it drops into the ocean, and you can somehow retrieve it?  I'm always hesitatnt to fly over water, just in case.  I did use some floats once, hand-made using a "pool noodle" but they are a pain to carry around with you and to attach / detach.

About 9m/s. The fly in and out is at normal speed, the orbit is sped up by 50%.. The radius was about 180 metres

kudo's to your wife for going along with the fun!  I take my wife flying every time I go.  Sometimes she flies while I use an HD Camcorder.

Some fantastic images there and a great video.

It feels so much better being able to watch a video of such high quality! (Speaking from the days of dialup and VHS) lol.

Also, i bet that little building gets to seem some nice weather!

Question? If that is a chapel and do people only come every other Sunday to reach the steps and tie up their boat due to high tide. Or do folks come for services and pull up among the rocks and trek across the rock field to get to the steps.
What a beautiful place. Peaceful too.

I'm not sure how often they have a service at the Church but I know they do go there on one Sunday in August and one in September. On low tide there is the remains of a path that you can easily walk to it. On the two Sundays everything needed for the service is carried there ( including a generator and electric organ )

I saw on another forum somebody used a device (less than $20?) named a Getterback. It's on Amazon and it is basically a float with 100' of line to recover fishing rods but I read that someone was using it on their Phantom for use around a lake....

Great pictures--does she use filters? Any recommendations?

I tried a set of 3 and a polarized filter but I wasn't impressed. I'm considering another try...
