You dont have to use hardware decode.

I Pad Mini 4, wi fi, cellular OS 9.0

DJI 2.3.0

No problem at all so far after 2 flight this morning here.

Is it just me or has DJI neglected to post the 2.3 version on its support page... If I am reading it right it still says 2.2.0 for the IOS

People are always saying don't depend on Apple store... go to the support page...and they don't even list it...?

Click on the iOS button on the page. Version 2.3 will be there.

I know it is there... but how about listing it correctly so people that are not reading this forum or have auto update turned off will know there is one?

thanks for answer. So, i am right if i dont use hardware decode the videostream will decoded by my ipad. If i use hardware decode it will be decoded from the phantom/or remote befor the stream gets to my ipad?
Or will it always decoded from the ios device only diffrence is hard or soft decoded inside ipad.

Tested DJI GO 2.3.0 tonight with iPad Mini 2. No more video breakup!! Yea!!
Some menu changes, but haven't looked closely.

If the new version 2.3 has worked with iPad Mini 2, then its likely to work with any iOS device.

I think we got the right build now YAY

Was the storage capacity of the iPad mini 2 was 16GB or more?

I updated DJI GO to 2.3 ( Iphone 6 +) but still have  NO SIGNAL ( FPV doesn't work - everything else does)  problems ( I have installed latest firmware 1.4.0010, controler 1.3.20).... Any ideas?

Your problem is a totally different problem. Has fpv ever worked? Is your controller linked to your P3?

Yes I do have the last fw installed on my P3A

Tested DJI GO to 2.3 on my P3Pro, Ipad Mini 2, 16Gb. pad.

1. Two flights, at 350 Feet, flight battery at 99% no issues with the video down link.
2. Flight 1, had the DJI GO to 2.3 app crash twice and had to restart the app each TIME as in MID flight and all came back JUST FINE.
3. Flight 1, flight battery at 47% some issues with the video down link, large block pixels, ribbon video, then cleared up a bit and then OK but fuzzy.
4. Flight 1, flight battery at 26 % some video distortion bit OK to fly.
5.  Flight 1, flight battery at 16%, height at 80 feet, OK to fly.
6. Conclusion, this version of the DJI GO to 2.3 app is much better but still not as good as the earlier two revision below this 2.3 version. My IPAD Mini 2 is set with no HW compression and all stock settings and no other apps running and set to AUTO channels. Test ground is the same location and heights for years, have seen several improvements on my Inspire 1 from DJI since Jan 2015, so DJI keep them coming on the P3Pro and Inspire and the associated FW and APP.

7. Flight 2, all the same results as listed above.
8. Inspire 1 testing later today.  

Comments: Like to see a but more refinement on the APP for stronger video down link monitoring and look into the APP IOS crash issue a bit. Other then that, the latest P3 Pro FW, Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.4.0010 all in one, i give it a 95% goodness as compared to all the YEARS (3 now) working with DJI P2 Vision, P2 Vision Plus, Inspire 1, and now the P3 Pro.

DJI, Keep the enhancements coming on the newer products, the P2's are Great! no need to fix these anymore!

Hardware decode is not for video. It is for the data produced by the hardware components.In case of hardware trouble DJI techs can analyse the Phantom or Inspire hardware during flight you did or they can do for testing.

You dont need to use this.

I choose to not use it.

It worked until IOS 9 came, without any problems, video feed superb no lag even when I flew it 1,8 km away...

My last flight of this morning with DJI GO 2.3.0. and iPhone 6+ was very very difficult due to DISCONNECTIONS!! POI not starting the second time you activate. This version of DJI GO is NOT working at this time. Please fix.

i did 6 flights this morning (two batteries) and no issues to mention with respect to the application. The aircraft itself drifts a fair amount (does not fly in a straight line). That need to be address ASAP in my opinion.

40 min flight again this afternoon without any problem,,,,,,heuhhhmmm,,,,,,,just 2 Royal Eagles prepared to attack my Phantom  3 in the sky. It was quite a rush to come back home. LOL.

Yes I had same problem

I have ios9 and DJI go 2.3 on an iPad Air 2. Still experiencing a number of problems. Worst are: track is way off. Drifts at least 20 degrees to the left after alighting the track using the camera and sighting along the aircraft. Number one problem is the DJI go  app just quitting while filming. The camera is still running when I restart the app.

You must calibrate IMU and gimbal after update.
