Maize kicked off with Hunniford Farms getting started into maize harvest for 2024...

Cutting with TWO Claas Jaguar 970s matched perfected to 10 Orbis Maize headers they make short work of the maize sown under plastic on this site.

Carting back to the silo we have a number of New Holland T7s with the two T7.270s Blue Powers with the Black Smyth Tri Axle trailers.

Outstanding job of capturing this day at the farm.    The Claas Jaguar 970s with the Orbis Maize headers made for a super fast job.  Interesting to see the tri-axle trailers.  I guess with the ground conditions in that area it is always handy to have big tires on everything.

tbh they cover big area hence the tri axle trailers but then too they have some very good drivers and can handle the tri axles as well

No doubt about that.  

Clear, sunny day here so I'm headed out to cut down a couple of dead trees and clear out some scrub brush.  Got to do what I can to keep the fire hazards down.

Good thing I got the dead trees cut down yesterday as I woke up this morning to pouring down rain.  Sorry to hear you are also getting rain.

Tis the season, as they say,  but doesn't mean you have to enjoy the cold and rain.  Hopefully, you'll have a short winter or an early spring.

Well it is hard to find locations that have great weather all year round.  I've been to 64 different countries and I can say that one place sticks out the best for weather and that was the Canary Islands.  The climate is considered the best climate in the world, thanks to the year-round pleasant, mild temperatures. This is added to the facts that it rarely rains in the archipelago and that it is the region with the most hours of sunlight per day in Europe.
