Yes it’s the osmo action 5 pro. And it won’t detect in the Mimo app but only when wired connected. Detects card fine when wireless

Hi there. Please try the following steps:
If the mobile phone supports WLAN+/WLAN Assistant, please disable the WLAN+/WLAN Assistant to prevent the mobile phone system from switching to Wi-Fi automatically, and try to connect again. You can tell us your phone brand so that we can help you better.

1.  Confirm whether the device has been activated. If not, please activate it. If trial times are used up, you will be unable to change camera settings. If you cannot activate the device because the device fails to connect to DJI Mimo, please tell us so that we can analyze it further.

2. Make sure the DJI Mimo app has been updated to the latest version.

3. Enable all permissions (esp. location /GPS) for the DJI Mimo App.

4. On the device, go to System Settings - Wireless Connection - Reset Wi-Fi Connection

5. Check the region where you are located and the mobile phone model to check that the Wi-Fi frequency is supported by the corresponding mobile phone or in the corresponding region (the frequency that a mobile phone supports can be checked on the Specs on the official website of the mobile phone brand). Then, on the device, go to: Settings - Wireless Connection - select Wi-Fi Frequency according to the below instructions:

       > If the current region or mobile phone model only supports the 2.4 GHz frequency, set the Osmo Action Series Wi-Fi frequency to 2.4 GHz.

       > If the current region and mobile phone model supports 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, please set it as Auto.

6. Go to Osmo Action Series Settings - Wireless Connection - Wireless Information and stay on the page. Then open the mobile phone Settings- Wi-Fi List, and check if there is a Wi-Fi name starting with "OsmoAction". Please tell us the result so that we can further analyze it.

I’ll try these steps but my iPhone or iPad won’t detect ssd card when wired. So when I plug in camera to phone or iPad using usbc. If I connect wireless it detects the ssd card just fine. Also iPad /iPhone detects the Ssd card in files ok jut not wired in Mimo app

Hi, there
Thanks for your information.
Could you please confirm whether the firmware is a U2 version (or higher than V01.00.07.50)?
1. if it is not U2 firmware, please upgrade to the latest firmware version through the DJI Mimo App.
2. if the current firmware version is V01.00.07.50, please unplug the battery and then reboot to recover.
Please keep us updated after trying, thanks.

Hi there. Please follow the following steps to troubleshoot:

1. Please refer to the following connection method to check whether you are connected correctly:

Noted: iOS devices are connected with Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, which should be powered with a USB power adapter during connection (Apple has such restrictions on this accessory). This accessory cannot be connected without a power supply.

Connection sequence:
1) Enable USB Mode/OTG Connection in Osmo Action 5 Pro, connect the camera to the camera adapter, and then connect the mobile phone to the camera adapter.

2) Connect Osmo Action 5 Pro to the camera adapter, enable USB Mode/OTG Connection on the camera, and then connect the mobile phone to the camera adapter.

Only the two connection sequences mentioned above are supported for using USB Mode/OTG Connection.

Note: There may be a compatibility error when using with iPad series.

File location: “File Untitled-DCIM”.

2. Ensure that your phone model and the device being used support OTG functionality, and that the data port on the test phone and device can transfer data properly. Also, ensure the data cable functions properly.

3. Please send us a video that records your operations.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hi there. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Because early iPads use a Lightning port which is incompatible with the USB-C port on the Osmo Action series cameras, OTG transmission is not possible. If you want to transfer to an iPad, we recommend that you export media to a PC and then import them to the iPad. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hello Alexzeiady,
Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation.
Could you please let us know the type and name of the SD card you are using? We noticed that there are many files in the cloud storage without clear label names. Could you kindly specify which file is the camera log?
Thank you very much.

I drag dropped file direct from camera I did not change label names. There were 2 log folders so I dragged both. I cannot look at files again because I already formatted everything

Hello. If you need to download videos from the aircraft using the Mimo app, you can simply turn on the device and connect to the device's Wi-Fi through Mimo to download, without the need for a data cable.
If you wish to transfer via a data cable, they will need to connect their phone to the device and export the materials from the device through the phone's file manager.
