We do have really good weather for it.

Keep on enjoying that good weather.  Seems 75% of the US is getting hit with an Arctic blast of cold over the next 3-4 days.  Even here in southern Florida they say the temps will drop about 10 degrees below the norm for this time of year so we could be at 20C.

No doubt the upper Northeastern US states are suffering with freezing weather.  That means there are going to be some crazy high heating bills for this month up there.  Not bad down here in the deep southeast.

No, I was in my small 8 meter boat to watch the fireworks that didn't happen.  So then I had to head home and up the waterway to my property and to my live aboard boat. Here's a picture of my live aboard boat. When this picture was taken I was tied up behind my son's house.

Those freezing cold winters is what motivates a lot of them to move to a southern US state.  However, then instead of high heating bills you get to have high electric bills from running the A/C 10 months of the year.

Thanks.  My dream was to buy and live on a boat when I retired.  I set a financial goal and with some wise investments and with compound interest and time it enabled me to attain my dream.  I did without things I "wanted" but didn't "need" over the years but in looking back I don't mind not buying those wanted things.  Retired life is great!  I get up everyday and flip a coin to decide what I'd like to do for the day.  Scuba dive, go to the pistol rage, take the jetski out for a run or whatever.
