I was initially struggling a bit to get the latest firmware on my DJI Power 1000, realizing I wasn't connecting the AC cord i started the process over, updating the unit successfully but now the main type c port is unresponsive, every other port and the AC outlets all still work, but I can't get the 1st type c port to do anything. I tried to hold the power & AC button down to reconnect and downgrade firmware but laptop/DJI ASSISTANT 2 app no longer recognizes the unit. Tried some different cords but had no effect, the port has been working fine until the update completed

Unfortunatelly Power 1000 does not support charging via USB-C port . Only Power500 does . According to DJI manuals

I understand, but the port will not charge other devices either , main port has become completely useless now

Yeah, i was replying to DJI Stephen , not to you )). As for you problem i have no idea what to addvise , just to  contact DJI support  fro repair (((
