Hi,

Transfering images and videos from internal storage to phone wasnt working. Then i got a prompt to update firmware. After updating ALL my images and videos were gone!!
Please help! File recovery software on the computer didnt find anything. Extremely valuable captures completely gone without warning!

Maybe the firmware update overwrote the files though, not even a  lower res cache on the remote?

Have you removed the SD card and tried looking at it directly with a card reader in a PC?

I updated to version v01.00.0800 today but I didn't have any problems with things disappearing from the microsd card.

in that case can you connect the controller to your pc, it should open up as a drive and then allow you to read the files/folders etc, the videos may have gotten moved to another folder as part of the firmware update

PS buy an SD card to avoid any future issues

Oddly enough I decided to connect the controller as a last attempt and found many folders; most of which are empty. After going down the “Android” folder I made it to a folder named “Mp4Caches” and here I found the files. Not the usual HD quality but better than nothing.

Thanks so much for your input community. First step now - buy an SD card!

I have and  use 4 cards in rotation.  When I pull one from the drone, I install one of the others.  Then I format it before I film anything.  

I had a digital camera that if you moved files off of the card, then reinserted the card to the camera, it would scramble photos and videos.  Sometimes I'd get video with no audio, other times I'd get audio with no video.
Format the card each time I go from the PC to the camera and it never had the issue again.

if something is extremely valuable,make a backup
