I had the problem today that after 30 minutes in standard bitrate 4K 60fps the recording simply stopped, with the error message that the memory card was too slow. The outside temperature was around minus two degrees Celsius and the memory card is actually pretty good. It has 150 megabytes of write speed per second, so there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. I would actually have to check whether it is recommended by DJI or not. But this was the first time that the recording was stopped because the memory card was supposedly too slow. The big advantage is that the recording wasn't lost, it just stopped and was saved.

I've now put my Action 5 Pro at home and it's a lovely 21°. It's been running smoothly for almost four hours with no problems using the same memory card and the same settings.

So at normal temperatures the camera recorded for 335 minutes straight without the slightest error, without overheating and without a memory card problem. Is it possible that this was just a one-off error or does it have something to do with the temperatures?

I'm just wondering how people managed to get the camera to overheat at 4k 60fps, so it runs like clockwork for several hours

Thats weird, fortunatelly the temperature here doesnt dip so low, so I never had such problem.
A5p requires at least V30 class SD Card, but if the card has worked well after could be a glitch due to the low temperatures...

last week i did 46 hour timelapse video and at the end camera went black screen, didnt get warning messages and only way to get camera back working was to take battery off because buttons and touchscreens didnt work.
It was close to -5celsius all the time, only stopped recording to change day/night time exposures.
Camera was still warm when i noticed that, my SD is 130mb/s write and plenty of space left when crashed.
Maybe camera just runs out of memory and should get a restart.
Thats only crash so far, even done 70mins 4k/100fps while running all stabilization turned on and no problems Winter time here in Finland, havent have any problems with cold temperatures, coldest day so far -20c

Try the internal memory card since it would be fast enough.

Also I have never had any problems recording in -10c for an hour straight, and also have done 5 hours timelapse in -20c with still some juice left on the battery.

i have cut a hole to memoryfoam for camera to fit in and old sock with lens hole for colder temperatures. 20000mah powerbank +cameras battery lasts couple days in timelapse

1. Yes, it has the latest firmware on it.

2. A restart? Yes, of course I tried that. I was able to record for hours afterwards, at normal temperatures. I'm going to take the camera out again today and put it outside. It's about -2 to -3 degrees again today. I'll try it again to see if it crashes again.

3. The memory card meets the minimum requirements.

when you swipe up to set parameters there should be infinite symbol, right under where you set interval. Do you have the latest firmware update?

The error no longer occurred. I think that perhaps a memory card that wasn't seated perfectly or something similar was the problem. I have now filled the entire memory card several times at different temperatures without any further errors.
