A very Happy New Year to you and yours from me and mine. A bit of an odd question I pose but has anybody out there had their Air 3s power on by itself? I ask because yesterday mine which was sat in the bag in the same place it always sits powered on without manual external interference or prompting. Every DJI drone i have ever owned has always been left with a battery in it and always stored in the same place in my house. This is the first time that this has ever occured. Obviously with the gimbal cover still attached I was mortified but thankfully no apoarent damage. I do now and will in future always store my drone without battery. If it switches on I might be looking for one of Charles Dickens' Christmas spooks.

Hello Tony, many thanks for your concern. I am afraid that I do not have any video of the incident. When the Air 3S is powered on either by me or as in  this instance by itself it does not and did not start recording video. It is probably just as well as the gimbal cover was still attached. The drone and all associated equipment was in the case that came with it. Forgive me but I do not understand how you could reasonably expect there to be video footage available?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. If the drone automatically turns on without touching anything in the bag, we think it was caused by accidental touch or other reasons. We recommend that you store the drone separately to see if this happens again.
If the drone automatically turns on after plugging in the charging cable without turning it on, we recommend that you send the drone to us for inspection.

Many thanks for your response Tony. I can categorically tell you that the drone was not touched accidentally or deliberately. The drone was in the case in which it was supplied and was sat in the same place it always sits. This is in an area where nobody can accidentally touch it. I only knew that it had turned on because both my wife and I heard the tone that the drone makes when it powers on. It can never happen again because I stated in my first post on this thread, I now store it with all 3 batteries in the charger in my case with the drone and no battery in the drone. It is a little disappointing that I am forced to do this but frankly I will not risk damaging the drone by having it power itself on again with the battery inserted while in the case with the sems folded up and the gimbal cover fitted.

You're welcome.  I've now started storing my drone without the battery in it.
