I keep getting this error message with either a black screen or froezen picture:

Rth (no transmission) image transmission lost  confirm weather to start auto rth

Its a dji neo straight out the box with a dji rc-n3 controller and the phone i connect to the controller is a samsung 20fe with a usb c cable provided with the controller and i have also tried other cables and another phone.

Latest software installed on all devices.

I usually  start flying with the image working but there has been some instances when the image isnt displayed before take off. But i can still control the drone and it says the phone is still connected.

I have tried different locations and i have the same issue. Picture works fine, gimball rotates. Then i take off with good satellite and rc signal and when it gets about 15-30 meters away (sometimes closer) the transmission signal drops out. And sometimes it comes back but other times its just stuck on a black screen even after rebooting phone, app, controller and drone. I even try fly it with just my phone via wifi and the same thing happens.

Please collect the recorded video of the image transmission during the flight. I will provide feedback to the DJI engineers for analysis.

Please check whether your aircraft, remote controller firmware, and app versions are the latest or not.

Please refer to the best positions of the remote controller antenna below to ensure that the remote controller and aircraft are in the best positions.


Would you please check whether there are obstructions such as trees or houses near your current flight environment? Please let your aircraft take off in an environment clear of signal-blocking obstacles.

Please go to the app’s image transmission page to check interference. In Fig. 1, the flight environmental interference is lower, while in Fig. 2, the flight environmental interference is greater. Please ensure that the environmental interference is lower to guarantee the image transmission distance.
