I guess he was looking for a different answer than what was provided.  I always contact the airline directly  with any questions I have and then be sure and write down who I talked to and when.

My dearly departed grandmother taught me that if you seek assistance with a problem, be prepared to consider and potentially follow the solution offered, rather than requesting help only to dismiss the advice given. Turns out she truly was a wise old lady.
