The Audient Evo 4 is a bus powered USB C audio interface and thus should work with the OP3.
It will work with an iPad and iPhone using a powered USB hub and Apple camara adapter.
Plugging it into the OP3 isn't working. Has anyone got it to work? It powers up, it is generating a random signal visible on the OP3 but I think that's just an error signal as it does this when there's no mic plugged in. The mic buttons remain red and won't be activated.
Do I need a specific USB C cable that will provide the power and also feed the audio? Is extra power required as it is with the IOS devices and if so how do I achieve that please?

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The audio signal input to the Osmo Pocket 3 USB-C port must be a digital signal of 48k/16-bit or higher. If adapter cables are used, the adapter cables must also support 48k/16-bit digital input and output.

1. It is recommended to use a USB-C adapter that comes with the wireless microphone to connect it to Osmo Pocket 3 instead of using a 3.5 mm adapter, as 3.5 mm outputs are predominantly analog signals.
2. Disable the ""easy playback"" function (a feature that prevents the mobile phone's internal speaker from being automatically disabled when the microphone is connected) of the microphone, and avoid using an adapter cable. These prevent recording failures caused by protocol incompatibility.

However, please be aware that the Audient Evo 4 is not included in the list of recommended third-party microphones for the Osmo Pocket 3. However, you are welcome to try the steps provided to see if they resolve the issue. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hi and thanks for the response but I am afraid you haven't understood what the Audient Evo 4 is. It is not a microphone.
I attach the specs of the Evo 4 and you can see it is a pro spec interface.
My main studio uses the Audient ID44 and ASP 800's.
I have the Evo 4 for convenience of outside recording, it is bus powered.
My Mics are Neumann's and a few Lewitts. Mostly condensers.
The Evo 4 works with IOS devices using the camera adapter. I want to use with the OP3, some recordings require a much better spec than the Mic 2's I bought (they're great for many projects) but I want the option of using my other mics.

I very much doubt that the Pocket 3 can supply full bus power. It is adequate for powering a microphone, but not much beyond that. I am also not sure if it supports Core audio - I would think that unlikely.  It also requires a driver to be installed for Windows systems , which of course you cannot do on the Pocket 3. So, the P3 is unlikely to support Core Audio (the integrated 'drivers' in Mac OS or IOS) and you cannot add other drivers either... it was never intended to be used as a host for external audio interfaces. Workaround is to use a USB-C to 3.5mm TRS adapter and feed external mixes in via that by an analogue connection.

HI and thanks for the contribution. It's not accurate on a few significant matters but I appreciate the effort.

Which matters, precisely?

How'd you get the Evo 4 to work with the Pocket 3?

I have not yet, I await a comprehensive answer. Getting it to work analogue is trivially easy hence I asked about USB C specifically.

Your comprehensive answer was provided above. The EVO series interfaces are designed to work with specific operating systems. Listed here:

https://support.audient.com/hc/e ... Range-Compatibility

The Pocket 3 uses a proprietary OS and hardware that is not compatible.

You MIGHT be able to get a signal from it via a powered USB hub, but even that is expecting a lot, and almost certainly none of the controls would function. They require integration with a supported OS, which it simply is not.
