Hello guys,

I'm facing difficulties bounding a connecting my remote with my dji pro 4.

The story:

I've had a crash with my 4pro with DJI RC2 controller (buildin screen and no care refresh) overseas. In the mainwhile I purchaced a new 4 pro with the basic DJI RC-N2 controller. This new drone I bounded and connected with my DJI RC2controller and for the rest of the time overseas I was covered.

Back home I replaced all 4 arms including motors on the crashed 4pro and tried to connect it to it's original controller. It did connect, but the signal was extremely weak (red 1 bar). I could control the gimbal, change settings and had the camera view on screen, but after roughly 20 to 30 seconds the connection got completely lost and reconnecting takes quite a bit of effort. Bounding and connecting to the DJI RC-N2 has not worked at all as that is what I'm aiming for.

Things I've tried:
- Try to connect the normal way and the try to pair in both wais to put the drone in pairing mode first and the controller in pairing mode first.
- Log out / log in to my account
- Refresh controller and drone filmware
- Unbound the crashed drone from my account

Any other solutions?

Cheers,

Jasper

Perhaps a bad solder joint? Were the arms original?

That could be the issue. The arms where original, but second hand.

Might be an antenna issue, seeing as it's in the arms. Check the connector and hope it's not more serious.

Thanks! I'll see what I'll do.

You're welcome and do not hesitate to contact us back if there's any further inquiry. Also, if you need assistance with creating a ticket, you may contact DJI support at https://www.dji.com/support. We understand that this is not the answer that you look forward to, but this would be the best thing to do in this situation. In addition, warranty service can be claimed depending on the result of the Damage Assessment.

Your kind understanding is appreciated and thank you for your continued support.

It may just be the pairing process. Having just done this because "pairing" seems such a bugbear here lately, try this :

Do not turn on the drone.
Start djifly
goto Connection guide....and do NOT turn the drone ON until it tells you to.  Then, after the drone has given itself a little shake to wake up,(is it? gimbal ok etc?) NOW push and HOLD the power button until the drone gives ONE squawk. Don't be shy. Hold the button down until it squawks....Now DJIFly will be happier , moving on from the spinning thing to display  something like "...pairing" ..and momentarily thereafter, your drone will  give TWO squawks.

and hopefully you are paired a-ok. I've done this multiple times and it will not pair if the drone is on when you start. If it is, turn it off andrestart when asked.
