I got my Neo to track me as I'm shooting at the range.  I noticed that it will lose me if I am running toward and under it.  When it does, it stops moving and hovers until I intervene.  It won't reacquire me even when I do pass in front of it.  


Is there a way to set it to start panning until it re-acquires me?

Kindly take note that when palm takeoff is triggered and the drone is connected to the DJI Fly app, the drone cannot be adjusted in ActiveTrack mode if it loses the subject. If the drone is controlled by the remote controller, adjustments can be made in the DJI Fly app.

I have the RC2 controller that I use to take off and set the Neo to tracking mode.

If it is to my right and I run to the right and go under it, it will lose me and not reacquire me at all.
If it is to my right, and I run left, forward or backwards, it will track me correctly.

It would be nice that if it does lose you, that it will simply turn in the direction that you are traveling and attempt to reacquire.  I don't think it would be that difficult to add into the code.  And since it's only turning, it's not likely going to run into anything.
I understand that it wouldn't necessarily fly backwards as it doesn't have sensors to keep it from flying into objects.

My impression of Track mode is it needs work. The other AI modes feel pretty solid and polished. Track feels less mature.

100%  
The Neo seems to have been pushed out before it was fully ready.  This is evident by the 3 or 4 firmware updates that mine has seen since I opened the box on Christmas day.
That said, I think it's promising that they are recognizing issues and fixing them as soon as possible... maybe a future update will accommodate what I'm after.
