Is the new DJI Mic Mini affected by the same low volume problem as the Mic Mini 2 when the transmitter is used stand alone to record and save the audio in its internal memory?
Thanks

Hi there, thank you for your inquiry. The DJI Mic Mini transmitter does not have internal storage, so it cannot be used as a standalone voice recorder. Therefore, it does not experience the same low volume issue as the Mic Mini 2 when recording and saving audio internally. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

You can set the gain of the Mic 2 for internal recordings.
If you connect it to one of the supported DJI products (Pocket 3, or action 4 / 5)

but why if you are well aware, you don't fix the low volume problem?

How can I set the gain only for the internal recording without modify the gain of the mic when it is connected for example with an Action 5 Pro?
In the Action 5 menu I have only a gain setting.
Thanks

The internal one is programmed to be a bit lower compared to the camera output.
This way you might have a backup that is not clipped when the one on the camera turned out to be too loud.
That is what I read about it at least.
I am still saving for the Mic 2, so I can't test it as of now
There are 2 menu locations regarding the mic in the Action 5, so maybe there are more settings, but again, can't check it for you.

but is is way too low the internal one. I have to push it up a lot in post.
And it seems to me that even pushing the quality of the registration is not as good as the one saved in the video of the Action 5 Pro.
I read all the manual and it isn't written anywhere that the internal recording is recorded at lower value to prevent audio clipping.
