Hi All,

On my first flight my DJI mini 4k drone flew straight up and ignored all user input from the control. The wind took it away and it then suddenly dropped into the field from about 100m. The motors are now damaged and the drone cant fly straight due to motor wobble. I do not expect this to happen on a first flight after following all the precautions and tutorials. I can imagine how dangerous this could be in a number of circumstances.

Does this fall under warranty and allow a replacement?

Also, is there a way to upload the flight log so that i can share it?

Firstly, thank you for your reply. Shouldn't this fall under warranty? If it is determined that the drone damaged itself will there be a charge associated with the repair? How long do repairs typically take?

From your log, looks like you have a faulty AC. Lots of non - user errors flagged up.

Best to follow DJI Natalia advice and use the link she has provided.

Should be a warranty case.

Had a look a your log too.

What happend the flight before this one ?
The very first warning in the log  = " Motor unable to rotate. Check motor".

Did you screen record this flight?


BTW  flying in an open fields as your did, why set the RTH height to 100 meter ?
In case of disconnection your drone starts to climb to 100 meter, uses lots of time and battery usage. Plus at 100 meter normally more wind than at lower heights.

Thanks, I followed your advise. How can I tell if I will be sent a shipping label? Will i have to wait until one arrives or can I find out if I am within the range of courier services?
