Hi all!!!

My lovely Neo started making noise in the motors. How can I clean them? I already removed the propellers and used compressed air, but the problem persists. Does anyone know how to disassemble the motor for a proper cleaning?

Thanks and best regrards!

Have had a motor that sounds off for awhile.  Propeller spins freely when blowing on it, but not as smooth when manually rotating it as the other 3.  Guessing shaft bearing or bushing issue. Flying manual mode I tend to crash occasionally.  One field was dusty dirty stubble.  Once on my gravel driveway.  Assuming grit got into the motor.  Also easy to do if you don't use a landing pad in dusty areas due to prop backwash.

Did as you have done. Canned compressed air cleaning. No change. Very light application (~1 drop)  around the shaft area of a conformal cleaner, lubricant, and waterproofer that I have used many years on R/C platforms exposed to water.  I sail a small boat.  Others at the marina swear by the stuff to prevent corrosion and waterproof electrical components and connections.  CorrisionX, the light weight version.  Red can.  Seems to have reduced the roughness and decreased the sound for now.  Years ago, but still on YTube the people at FliteTest demonstrated how waterproof the product is.  Battery, flight board, ESC, motor.  All in a fish tank full of fresh or salt water.  Bit weird to see a quad motor and propeller "flying" underwater.   The negative is like any "oil" it might attach dust.

YTube presenter Cak 3 has a short and couple videos regarding replacing OEM motors with the Mobula 8 Happymodel EX1103 11000KV motors.  Unknown Neo motor specs.  But these motors seem to work.  One flight test video viewed.  No ESC smoke or fire.  Assuming no modifications to mount since none were noted.

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Could you provide us the video of your aircraft making noise for us to understand better and assist you?
Looking forward for your response.

Sorry. Little bit of a hijack. To DJI.  Will you be stocking replacement motors at store.dji.com?   Personal preference of OEM motors than using some other brand that "fits".   If you do.  Also, the tiny screws (IIRC 11 of them needed) that are required to remove for accessing the board where the motor wires are solder to.  My normal luck would be losing a few of the screws.  Or at least the size of the screws.
