I'm looking to buy one of the Mini series drone  is that a true that I need a phone with DJI fly app installed to activate and operate DJI drones?   The thing is that I have company phone which I'm allowed to use for my own stuff as well and I can install any apps as soon as I can do it from Google Play store. All installations from other sources are disabled by IT administrator and there's no way for me to install an .apk file.

So I wonder is there a way to use DJI drones without DJI Fly app or will it be added to Google Play Store in the near future? Or I should forget about DJI and look for something else?  

yes,  you need the app to activate and fly.    DJI Dont distribute the fly app in the play store it has to come from the DJI Download centre.

Thanks. In other words there's currently no way for me to use a DJI drone, correct? I can't activate it from RC2 controller or from a a tablet  without data plan, is that right?
